After a very long time here is a pucca commercial movie packed with a very well written script that engrosses the viewers right through the 2 hours & 30 minutes. “Only Vishnuvardhana” by debutant director P.Kumar is a very entertaining movie & worth the every penny spent in making it & viewing it.
The script is the hero of the movie with very few flaws. The screenplay is seamless & racy and at the same time engaging that in no point in time do you feel bored or disengaged. Entertainment is the mantra & the director-writer P.Kumar has done his best to provide it without any pretence & he has done an excellent job in doing so.
Story revolves around the dreamy-eyed Vishnuvardhana played enthusiastically by Sudeep who happens to lay hands on the mobile of a powerful don (Sonu Sood) & the cat and mouse game that ensues.
Director has maintained the lighter vein through the movie which keeps the viewer enthused all along. The intelligence of the writer in P.Kumar is evident in the cat and mouse game between the hero & the villain. Except for the climax all through the movie intelligent handling of the script by P.Kumar is apparent.
Sudeep as the protagonist is apt for the role & he has done his part well. His dialogue delivary & modulation are fun. Bhavana has nothing much to do but she is an eye candy. Priyamani has extended guest appearance with a purpose. Sonu Sood once again reprises pea headed villain this time too. Achyuth Kumar as the astrologist friend of the hero is first class in his comical role.
Cinematographer Rajarathnam has captured the movie with keeping in mind what is needed for a commercial movie.
V.Harikrishna’s music is already a huge hit. “Yedeyolage guitaru” is rage with youth & his background score is adequate.
On the whole, “Only Vishnuvardhana ” is a power packed commercial entertainer , worth the money. (There will be huge demand for the remake rights of this movie in other languages in the coming days)
